The Educational Services Department assists the district and schools in effectively and efficiently managing State and Federal Programs to maximize student outcomes and bridge achievement gaps. Support and assistance is provided in the following:

  • Title 1, Part A: Provide assistance with allowable budget expenditures and monitoring tied to school and district goals

  • Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) Planning

  • School Site Council:  Provide School Site Council training and provide schools with support and timelines to meet state requirements

  • School Site Plan Development:  Support sites throughout the development of the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), the continuous improvement process, and budget development

  • Parent Engagement:  Provide support and guidance in developing and updating the Parent Compact, Site Parent Involvement Policy, and the site based Title I parent meetings

  • Parent Education - Workshops in literacy, mathematics, common core standards, and parent leadership

  • District Advisory Committee (DAC) formation, training, and meetings

  • District English Learner Advisory Council (DELAC) formation, training and meetings

  • Federal Program Monitoring Process and Training

  • Consolidated Application Reporting System (CARS)

  • Dual Immersion Program and Newcomer Program Services
