Congratulations, Alisal educators!

Alisal USD leaders are gold!

Monterey Bay Computer Using Educators, the local affiliate of CUE, recognized Bardin Elementary kinder teacher Ben Cogswell for his years of service to the organization with a Gold Disk Award; Celia García Salinas, former Ed Tech Tosa and now Assistant Principal at Virginia Rocca Barton, received the Technology Innovator of the Year; Will Franzell, program manager at Alisal Virtual Academy, received the Blended and Online Educator of the Year, and Yesenia Gutierrez, kinder teacher at Bardin and Mr. Cogswell’s neighbor received the Emerging Teacher of the Year award. 

Mr. Cogswell, who has been with Alisal USD for 16 years, was also recognized at the state level. Mr. Franzelll has worked at the District for nearly 13 years on two separate occasions, Ms. Gutierrez for 6 years, and Mrs. Garcia for 11 years (not counting her years as student, as she’s “Cultivated in Alisal.”)

These outstanding educational leaders were recognized during the CUE conference March 16 - 18 in Palm Springs. Congratulations, educators! You make us proud and most certainly #AlisalStrong #AlisalFuerte
