Like millions of students across the country, all our children took part of the Great ShakeOut of 2018. At exactly 10:18 a.m., an alarm went out and students ducked under their desks for cover in their classrooms. Then the fire alarm went off and they had to evacuate their classrooms and assemble in the nearest field. Bardin students assembled in a little over than three minutes!
This year marks the 10th Anniversary of ShakeOut, which began in southern California in 2008. Last year, over 43 million people participated in Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills. The International ShakeOut Day is every third Thursday of October each year.
