National Census Day will be April 1, 2020, the twenty-fourth in the history of the United States and the first to offer options to respond online or by phone, in addition to the option to respond on a paper form as with previous censuses.
On Aug. 14, 2019, the Alisal Union School District Board of Trustees adopted a resolution supporting the U.S. Census and all outreach efforts to ensure a full count. The resolution reads, in part:
The superintendent shall provide for promotion of the 2020 Census through such no-cost means as the posting and sharing of information on the 2020 Census through District social media channels; providing for use of the District’s three Family Resource Centers to promote the 2020 Census through the posting and distribution of information; announcements at events and meetings, e.g. PTA, ELAC, DELAC, Back-to-school nights, open houses and other events where there can be presentations promoting participation in the census survey.
