Welcome to John E. Steinbeck Elementary School, the home of the Red Ponies! School pride, academic achievement, parent involvement, and a dedicated staff create a caring learning community for all children here at Steinbeck school.

The mission of John E. Steinbeck Elementary School is to provide a quality education in a safe and nurturing learning environment which will challenge students to achieve maximum potential through a supportive partnership of teachers, administrators, classified employees, parents, and community.

Some of Our Highlighted Programs here at Steinbeck Elementary school are our: After school intervention Program (2-6) (The After school program is for select students only, Targeted for students, enrolled by their teacher, who need to meet the academic expectancies their teacher search for), Sports Programs, Visual Arts (K-6), and Nutrition Network Garden Project (K-6). Our part time art instructor is fully funded by our Parent Teacher Club. This Year the fifth grade classes will be participating in the "Dancing Classrooms" program where students will learn basic ball room dance steps. We Invite you to come visit our school!
